Married for almost two years

Where has the time gone! October 7, 2007 was the best day of my life! I remember it like it was yesterday. I married my best friend, the one who I said when we first started dating that I would be with him for eternity. The few days before the wedding were such fun times but stressful and even a bit scarey. Thursday October 4th, my mom was trying to get dinner ready we were having ribs on the grill, Dave's mom and sister were coming over to meet my parents. My dad was laying down he was tired and not feeling so good. Mom and I were in the kitchen getting everything ready. Dad comes in the kitchen saying his chest was hurting and that he wanted to go to the hospital. Talk about freaking out the first thing that came to my mind was a heart attack. My mom drove him to the hospital, and came back becuase she knew she was having company over and my dad didn't want her to cancel. It turns out my dad was fine it was a bit of anxiety, which is understandable consdering the problems we went thru before the wedding. Thursday my mom and dad went to pick up the flowers they ordered so we could make the floral arrangements and bouquets, boutinerres, etc. Yes my mom, cousin Cheryl, my sister Theresa and I all made the bouquets. Anyways, she's at Costco trying to pick the flowers up and they weren't there, they weren't going to be delivered there until the next day but our order says for thursday. So my mom and dad were both really mad the poor lady that worked at Costco felt bad so she drove to where they were and picked them up and called when they were in. She also included a couple extra dozen flowers for the inconvenience. So with what happened with my dad it's kind of understandable even though I freaked out. We weren't really going to start the floral arrangements until Friday but we wanted them so we could start early friday morning. Back to Thursdays dinner it was nice except that my dad was in the hospital, we all enjoyed dinner and had a good evening.

Friday my dad and Dave and a couple other friends of his were supposed to go golfing. My dad couldn't go becuase of not getting released from the hospital quite yet. Dave and his friend ended up going and still had a good time. In the meantime, one of my good friends Bridget came over to help with the programs and I had just picked my cousin Jonathan up from the airport. My dad said he would definitely be at the rehearsal dinner and he got released from the hospital early afternoon on friday. We got married at the reception hall so there really wasn't a rehearsal, but we still had a rehearsal dinner, it was really fun and we shared our presents with our friends and family that were standing up in the wedding. It was great to see everyone there!

Saturday we were trying to finish up all of the flowers, my mom, dad, my aunt and uncle were going to their 40th year HS reunion. So we wanted to make sure everything was done before they went to that, which for the most part was. That night before Dave stayed at a hotel with his friend, even though we lived together he wanted to follow traditions and not see the bride at all the morning of the wedding. However, we did see eachother before the ceremony, we had outdoor pictures which turned out beautful. My sister Theresa wanted to have a "sister" night so my brother-in-law Matt took their kids, and my sister and I went out and got a cappuccino. It was very nice to spend some quality time with my sister, I don't get to do it enough since she lives in Washington state. I miss her and I'm glad we were able to spend time together. Saturday night was VERY hard for me to get sleep, I probably really didn't sleep at all, I was excited, nervous, happy etc. I stayed up with my sister and we talked, well atleast until she fell asleep.

Sunday morning was here!!! I was probably up at 5:30am, I hopped in the shower and was waiting for my friends to get there and the 2 girls that were going to do our hair. I was so nervous I didn't want to eat, nothing my stomach was in knots!! I was confused as to why I ws so nervous, we had been together 5 years prior to our wedding. My mom had alot of food for us to eat and stuff to drink. My friends made me eat becuase they didn't want me passing out. After getting my hair done I fixed my make up and then it was time to put the dress on. I loved my dress, never imagined I'd wear a dress like that ever, it was the 3rd one I had tried on and I loved it. I had 3 people help me with putting it on. Once everyone was ready it was time to go to where we were having our pictures. I need to add, earlier that week the weather was calling for a high of 45 and rainy. I know rain is good luck on your wedding day, but it would suck with outdoor pictures. The day before they were calling for Sunshine and a high of 90, yes 90 degrees outside. It was beautiful but VERY hot. I will post some pictures from our outdoor pictures. I can't believe how fast the ceremony and the reception went, it was SO fast. It was the most amazing time I've ever had. After the wedding we went back to the hotel and the next day we met up with a bunch of people and had brunch together. Before going to the brunch I went and said bye to my sister and brother-in-law and the boys, they were only there for 3 nights and it went FAST.

After brunch with friends and family Dave and I went home and packed for our few night honeymoon to Vegas. That was so much fun I can't wait to go there again.

I would love to thank my friends and family for being there for us. We love you guys so much!

I especially would like to thank my mom and dad, becuase if it wasn't for you guys we wouldn't have had what we had for our wedding it was beautiful! I love you guys!
